From where does a need to design and construct high
performance cabinets come from?

Often guitarists care little about the expense of their gear, looking for top quality
brands with regard to their guitar, amp and chain of effects. Neglecting however,
the item erroneously considered of least importance, their guitar speaker cabinet.
It's a paradoxical discovery when these high end manufacturers dedicate so little
attention to this fundamental part of the sound equation, a critical element that
physically transfers the signal of the guitar to our ears. Often they have
unbalanced designs, using materials more adapted to a standard production series.

Is this really all that's available?

CDS cabinets are designed to produce clear, clean sound. What does this
mean? It means they are built in such a manor as to emphasize in a balance way,
all the various frequencies of a guitar. A present but unmuddled bass tone.
A well defined but non predominent mid range. Intense highs without being annoying.
One can compare this balance with all amplifiers and many loudspeakers. It's true
that a loudspeakers can have a strong influence on the sound of a guitar cabinet
however it's essential to start with a balanced sound and this is where the
function of a well designed cabinet comes into play.

We use only the best materials: Solid, well seasoned fir for a resonate structure.
Multi layered birch for the baffle board. We fully reinforce the interior perimeter
with aluminum edging to establish a strong resistance to vibration which over
time can cause undisireable effects. Comfortable inset handles on each side. We
use natural fiber grill cloths as opposed to PVC which can have an undisireable
effect on higher frequencies.

With regard to design aesthetics, CDS cabinets have a distinguished look, one
that will surely distinguish you from the rest of the crowd. The elegant frame that
sets each model apart can be 100% customized to your taste. From the "Classic
Series" look of natural wood to the more customized look of Snakeskin or Denim
Jeans from the "Standard Series".

A factor never to be underestimated is price.
Who said any product completely custom, 100% hand made in Italy has to be
more expensive?? In the end, the requiset elements of an artisan quality shop is
their personal interaction between producer and end user and their passionate
motivation for attention to detail in their work.
